The Kendleshire Doesn't Disappoint

With 16 keen golfers stepping up on the tee for the 4th Meeting of our season, we were faced with a course that was in immaculate condition and fast running greens. Glorious sunshine throughout the day affected many of us as the scores were generally low for the 9 Hole competition. Clearly Dave Buckland must have brought his sun screen lotion as he scored a fantastic 19 points on the back nine winning by a clear 3 points from the runner up Richard Lane. Sadly Leighton might have thought had a good chance of winning but sadly chose the front nine holes instead of the back nine when he had scored 19 Points !!

The format of the 18 Hole Competiton was a 4 Man Bowmaker with the best 2 scores holes 1-6, best 3 holes 7-12 and all scores to count on the last 6 holes. With only four teams it looked like Leighton Mark Murray and Graham were the dream team. Alan Bracey who brought along two guests ( a 2 Handicap & a 28 Handicap) looked a strong line up but sadly they wilted in the heat and finished last of the quartet.

The Winners were Dave Buckland, Ade Meacham, John Watkins and Neil Seymour scoring 101 points and were well clear of the field. For the record this is the 3rd Team Victory for Neil Seymour so he get rewarded by having 6 shots deducted and now playing off 12, John Watkins 2nd Victory of the year so his reward 4 shots deducted and now playing off 10 & Ade Meacham also loses 4 shots as he again steps up as a winner and now plays off 14.

Well Done to all the winners but everyone had a great day and without doubt a course to return to once again.
