New Date - Sham Castle - 26 September

Firstly, our sincerest apologies to those members and their guests who had arranged to play on 05 September 19. We very much hope that we will see you all on 26 September 19.

Due to illness, annual holiday, cricket test matches and many other reasons for members being unable to attend the original planned date of 05 September 19, the meeting for Bath Golf Course (Sham Castle) had to be changed,

An email confirming the change of date has today been sent to all members.

With so much to play for in what is the penultimate meeting of the year (The Victor Lidorum Trophy and the Par 3 Competition still very much open), it was important that a date was set so all members could have an opportunity to contest these very worthy competitions.

The cost of the day Is £50 and includes a raffle ticket (A chance to win a dozen Titleist PRO V Golf Balls). It might be a good opportunity to recover from the effects of any lost balls during the days round!

Bath Golf Club, established in 1880, has one of England’s finest and oldest inland courses.

The 18-hole, 6464-yard, par 71 course may not be the length that today’s course designers’ favour, but in the 1880s they knew how to create a challenge using the natural contours of a hilltop location. The course is full of variety and is laid out over fine golfing country. Springy downland turf over shallow soil and limestone ensures rapid draining and the course is usually in superb condition.
