After weeks of rain, we were blessed with glorious sunshine at The Manor House Castle Coombe course was in absolutely fanastic condition with fast running greens giving all members the opportunity to sink putts.
The Captains Day was truly successful, which was mainly due to the hardwork of our Captain Graham Brunsdon. His generosity of both prizes and gifts on the first tee shows the true spirit of the society. Graham we can only look forward to the next Captains day 2020.

Graham even gave away "Spurs Teess" a true fan!!!
The "Singles Event" played over the 18 Holes was won by Steve Richards of a score of 40 Points. Well Done and to show you how much we appreciate your efforts your handicap is now cut to 17 until the next Catpains Day. Runner up was taken on Countback from his brother by Leighton Jenkins.
The Better Ball Competition was won by Neil & Jack Seymour on countback from the Captain and his guest Scot Anstey with a score of 43 points. Well done to bth teams. Neil & Jack Seymour will now be playing off a handicap of 14.
There were five " Nearest the Pin" competiton which should have been renamed "Can you beat Dave Buckland" who won 3 of the 5 holes. To add to his tally he alos won "The Longest Drive"
After some confusion, Leighton Jenkins won "Nearest To The Pin in 2 " on the 18 hole. I am thinking of having a "Pink Ball Challenge" as it apeared very popular amongst some of our members.
A great time was had by all and once again, a massive thank you to Graham for all his effort in making Captains Day a really enjoyable experience for everyone.
